Who we are

This service is operated by Akhmis Yassir, an individual sole operator based in France. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Akhmis Yassir is the data controller.

The short version

We keep things minimal and honest. We do not run cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking. We only collect your email if you choose to give it to us, and purchases are handled by our payment platform. That's essentially it.

What we do NOT collect (this matters)

• Your résumé and the job description you paste in are processed entirely inside your own browser (client-side). This content is never transmitted to us or to any third party. There is no server-side copy. We never see it.
• We use no cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third-party tracking.
• ResumeRadar uses your browser's localStorage only to keep your license/entitlement working (including offline). This is strictly necessary functional storage, not tracking — so no cookie-consent banner is needed.

What we do collect, and why

1. Your email address

We collect your email only when you submit the opt-in / free-download form. It is stored and the emails are sent via MailerLite.

• Legal basis: your consent.
• Purpose: to deliver the free resource and send related tips and marketing emails.
• Your control: every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

2. Purchase information

Purchases are handled by Gumroad, which acts as the seller platform / merchant of record. Gumroad collects your name, email, and payment details and processes the payment. We can see order information in our Gumroad dashboard.

• Payment card data is handled entirely by Gumroad and its payment processors — never by us.
• Legal basis: performance of the contract (your purchase) and our legal obligations to keep accounting records.

3. License activation

When you activate a paid license, your license key (and the email Gumroad returns) is sent through our same-origin endpoint /api/verify-license to Gumroad's verification API, solely to confirm your purchase.

• We do not store this server-side — it is transient (used in the moment and discarded).
• Your key and the resulting entitlement are cached in your own browser (localStorage) so the tool works offline.
• Legal basis: performance of the contract (delivering the licensed product you bought).

Technical / hosting data

Our sites and functions are hosted by Cloudflare, which may process technical data such as your IP address and request logs for security and reliable delivery. Cloudflare acts as our hosting processor.

• Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and available.

Who processes data on our behalf (third-party processors)

We rely on a small number of trusted providers. Each has its own privacy policy and data-processing terms (DPA):

• Gumroad, Inc. — sales, payments, and product delivery.
• MailerLite — email list management and email sending.
• Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting and content delivery (CDN).

International transfers: some of these providers are located outside the EU. Where that is the case, the transfer relies on appropriate safeguards (for example, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

How long we keep data

• Email address: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
• Purchase / accounting records: retained as required by law (these are held via Gumroad).

Your rights under the GDPR

You have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• rectification (correct inaccurate data);
• erasure ("right to be forgotten");
• restriction of processing;
• data portability;
• object to processing;
• withdraw consent at any time (e.g. by unsubscribing) — this does not affect processing done before you withdrew.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés) — cnil.fr.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will post the revised version with a new effective date on this site.
